“The discovery of the once-mighty Frostdragon Kingdom, named for the ornament of their godlike tyrants, has sparked a war. Chiefs of all States vie for the throne while the Capital’s Old Guard vows a deadly response.” – In-game Lore.
“The Frostdragon Battlefield was once the site of the mighty kingdom. Chiefs of all States have been drawn to its Capital in search of wonders enough to crow a new tyrant.” – In-game Lore.
The Frostdragon Tyrant event in Whiteout Survival was introduced with the September 2024 update. It’s similar to the Sunfire Castle Battle but much more intense, as more states and stronger players are involved.
Sign-up & Eligibility – Phase 1
The event is divided into different zones, which vary based on each State’s power. A State’s power is determined by several factors, including the levels of Fire Crystal buildings, hero generation, chief gear and charms, and pet levels. More powerful States are grouped in the same zone.
Here are the general requirements for signing up:
- Only a limited number of top alliances from each State can participate in the battle.
- The Alliance Leader or R4 members must sign up for their alliance to join the Frostdragon Tyrant Event. However, signing up alone does not guarantee eligibility; it depends on the overall power of your alliance.
- There are Furnace level requirements based on the power of the zones. If you’re in a more powerful zone with players with higher Fire Crystal levels, having a lower Furnace level might not be sufficient for eligibility.
- You need to be a member of an eligible alliance before the signup phase ends. If you join after the signup phase has closed, you will be automatically disqualified.
The sign-up phase is 48 hours long.
Combatant Dispatch – Phase 2
The Combatant Dispatch is the second phase of the event, and like the sign-up phase, it lasts for 48 hours. During this phase, Alliance Leaders can send their members to the battlefield. They can dispatch up to 60 players, as long as those players meet the requirements set in the previous phase.
Players who are not dispatched by the Alliance Leaders can still assist by healing troops for the participating members.
Eve of Battle – Phase 3
The Eve of Battle is the third phase of the event. This is the time for alliances to make important decisions, strategize, and prepare for the upcoming fight. The phase lasts for 59 hours, giving members plenty of time to get ready.
Battlefield Opens – Phase 4
After the Eve of Battle, the fourth phase begins when the Battlefield opens. Once it’s open, players can teleport to the Battlefield. This phase lasts for 8 hours, and the Capital becomes available one hour after the Battlefield opens.
The first 5 minutes upon entering the Battlefield are called the “Battle Preparation Time,” during which players cannot attack, teleport, garrison, or scout.
You cannot enter the Battlefield if any of the following conditions are true:
- You have sent your troops on a scouting mission or expedition on the world map.
- Your Barricade is on fire.
- You have reinforcements in your Embassy.

The image above shows the Battlefield map. The area within the yellow line is the Border Region, where players are teleported when phase 4 begins. The area outlined in red is the Dragon Crypt, which contains the Capital and Spires.
When you teleport into the Dragon Crypt, your shield is deactivated, making you vulnerable to attacks. If your city is defeated by other players, you will be teleported back to the Border Region.
Important Points to Remember About the Battle Phase:
- The player with the highest occupation time of the Capital at the end of the battle becomes the Frostdragon Tyrant (for 30 days). The Frostdragon Tyrant receives several privileges and buffs that are even better than those of a “President.”
- If you join a rally, only the occupation time of the rally captain is considered; your own occupation time will not increase.
- There are four Spires around the Capital that can be captured. Capturing these Spires provides various buffs, giving you and your alliance a decent advantage in holding the Capital. Once a Spire is captured, it enters protection mode for the next 30 minutes, meaning it remains yours during that time.
- Only one squad can be sent to attack the Capital or each Spire. However, if you have troops garrisoned at the Capital or a Spire, you can send additional squads to reinforce the same building.
- Rally Speedups can be used to reduce march time. Both rally members and the leader can use these speedups.
- You can attack other players in the Dragon Crypt region to defeat their troops and slow them down, but you will not earn any points for this.
- Cities in the Dragon Crypt burn faster, so you must extinguish fires quickly. If you don’t, you will be teleported back to the Border Region.
- You can leave the Battlefield at any time, but there is a 10-minute cooldown before you can join again.
- All buffs from the President, pets, technology, and skin bonuses apply in the Battlefield.
- The Infirmary Capacity becomes unlimited during the event. If your troops are defeated in battle, they will be sent to the Infirmary instead of being permanently lost. To use the injured troops again, you will need to heal them with speedups. However, if you leave the Battlefield and your Infirmary is full, any additional defeated troops in regular battles will be lost permanently.
Battlefield Buildings
There are five buildings in the Dragon Crypt: the Capital, Life Spire, Dragonbane Spire, Shield Spire, and Blade Spire.
The Capital is the primary building you need to capture, while the Spires are strategic buildings that can aid in capturing the Capital. Each Spire provides a unique buff to you and your fellow Alliance members.

Championship Prediction

Once the second phase of the Frostdragon Tyrant event concludes and Alliances have dispatched their eligible members, the Championship Prediction tab becomes available. In this tab, players can make predictions about various aspects of the event.
It contains three sub-tabs: Tyrant Prediction, Championship Prediction, and Prediction Shop.
Tyrant Prediction: In this tab, you can predict which alliance will win the Frostdragon Tyrant event. You can place predictions on up to three different alliances using Dragonmarks. Each prediction costs 1,000 Dragonmarks. If you guess correctly, you will earn 10,000 Dragonmarks; if you don’t, you will receive half of your Dragonmarks back. Dragonmarks can be earned through Daily Missions and Season Missions found in the “Frostwind Journey” tab of the Frostdragon Event.
Championship Prediction: In this tab, you can make Trivia Predictions. You will find five questions about how the Frostdragon Tyrant event will unfold. No Dragonmarks are required to place your predictions in this tab. Each correct prediction phase will reward you with 1,000 Dragonmarks at the end of the Frostdragon Tyrant battle.
Prediction Shop: This is where you can spend the Dragonmarks you’ve earned on various rare items.
Champions’ Eve

The third tab in the “Frostdragon Tyrant” event is the Champion’s Eve tab. In this tab, Alliance members can complete specific tasks to earn Alliance Preparation Points, which increase the Alliance Preparation Level.
For every 50,000 points earned by Alliance members, the Alliance Preparation Level increases by 1, with a maximum level of 6.
There are six levels of Alliance Preparation, and each level provides a buff that helps the Alliance during the Battle Phase. Additionally, Alliance members receive a Chief Chest for every 20,000 Alliance Preparation Points earned. Players who are not participating in the event can also claim these chests.

You can earn Scaled Crystals by making purchases, completing missions in the “Frostwind Journey” tab, or by collecting the free “Frostdragon Bounty” pack, which becomes available every day and contains 5 Scaled Crystals.
